DescriptionThe South-West Oltenia Regional Development Agency (SW Oltenia RDA) is a non-profit organization, non-governmental, non-political, of public utility, with legal personality, which acts in the field of regional development. RDA SW Oltenia was established on the 28th of February 1999 pursuant to Law no. 151/1998 (amended by Law 315/2004) on regional development in Romania and in accordance with the Decision of the South-West Oltenia Regional Development Council. The Agency operates through five offices in the Oltenia region, located in the administrative buildings of County Councils in each county: Craiova (headquarters), Targu Jiu, Drobeta Turnu Severin, Slatina and Ramnicu Valcea. Investment diversity - SW Oltenia RDA has over 18 years of experience in implementing national and European funding programs, being Intermediate Body for ROP 2007-2013, Implementing Authority for PHARE, NFRD and Intermediate Body for SOP IEC (since March 2013 for Priority Axis 1, Operation 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3, 1.3.2 and since March 2014 for Priority Axis 3, Operation 3.1.1), programs within which were signed a total of 1,193 grant contracts, with a total value of over 900 million. South-West Oltenia Regional Development Agency aims to implement economic and social cohesion policies in the region, promotes and implements development programs and provides the necessary services for community and investors to maximize economic and social benefits to the region. By the Regional Marketing activity, the Agency participates in events and economic missions that aim to promote the region, promoting projects of regional and local interest, as well as interregional cooperation, partnership-based projects, identifies and analises opportunities to achieve partnerships between different institutions, public and private entities to promote the region interests, develops promotional materials presenting the region as an attractive destination for investments and tourism. Through the marketing activities, RDA initiated the establishment of two poles of competitiveness: "Automotive South West Oltenia" Competitiveness Pole and "Tourism Oltenia - Innovation and Tradition in tourism TurOlt InoTT" Competitiveness Pole and four clusters: "Construct Cluster Oltenia", "AGROPRO Oltenia Cluster", "Health tourism in the South-West Oltenia Region - SanoTour" and "Health in the South-West Oltenia Region". Also, we are part of Ro-Boost SMEs Consortium that was established in 2014 and that since 2015 has become a partner of Enterprise Europe Network. The aim of the Consortium is to develop a support structure for SMEs in the two regions, West and South-West Oltenia, through which will provide an integrated set of information, support services and consultancy to help SMEs to use European business development opportunities.
