DescriptionCCG is an R&D center with 23 years of existence. Its activity is mainly focused on R&D for applications on the fields of computer graphics, information technologies, communication and electronics. It works at both the national and international level.
One of its labs for applied research is the PIU (Perception, Interaction, and Usability) and deals with, among other topics, usability challenges in medical devices. PIU has experience in performing usability summative tests for the purpose of medical applications certification, but additionally it also develops research on fundamental issues for usability and safety in human-machine interaction in the medical domain (UI design, alarmistic, safety interlocks, use-error).

Human Factors and Design
We are open to collaborations on research related to human factors in the design of medical devices. We have been study the relation between human factors and design and its contribution for the occurrence of use error in medical devices. This is an area of quite interest for our R&D group.
